Our virtual Circle of Friends support groups provide educational and emotional support in a positive environment for people living with epilepsy and their families. Support Groups

Our Circle of Friends Support Groups- offer educational and emotional support in a positive environment for people living with epilepsy and their families. All groups currently meet virtually, allowing participation from anywhere in Colorado or Wyoming. Dedicated, trained volunteers lead these sessions. If you’re interested in a leadership role, please contact us at info@epilepsycoloradowyoming.org.

Spanish – This group is conducted entirely in Spanish and is for those diagnosed with epilepsy and/or their loved ones. It meets on the second Tuesday of each month from 6:00-7:30 pm. For more information and the Zoom link, please email Leigh at leigh@epilepsycoloradowyoming.org.

You, Me, and Epilepsy Makes Three – This group is for adults diagnosed with epilepsy and/or their loved ones. It meets on the third Tuesday of each month from 7:00-8:30 pm. For more information and the Zoom link, please contact the volunteer group leader Dave at epilepsyandmemakes3@gmail.com.

Adults – This group is for adults diagnosed with epilepsy. It meets the first Thursday of each month from 7:00 – 8:00 pm. For more information and the Zoom link, please contact the volunteer group leader Kent at kent@thefamilywatson.com.

Young Adults – This group is for young adults, ages 18-29, diagnosed with epilepsy. It meets the second Thursday of every month from 5:30-7:00 pm. For more information and the Zoom link, please contact the volunteer group leader Shannon at shansantangelo@gmail.com.

Teen – This group is for teens, ages 13-17, diagnosed with epilepsy. It meets on the third Saturday of every month from 4:00-5:30 pm. For more information and the Zoom link, please contact the volunteer group leader Kylee at kyleelovato@gmail.com.

Parents – This group is for parents of those with an epilepsy diagnosis. It meets the fourth Monday of every month from 6:00-7:30 pm. For more information and the Zoom link, please email the volunteer group leader Peg at parentsunite2023@gmail.com.

Peer Support Program

If you’re looking to share your story with someone who understands, or if you’re facing a specific hurdle and could benefit from connecting with a supportive individual, Larissa is here to help connect you with someone. Reach out to her at info@epilepsycoloradowyoming.org and take the first step towards finding understanding and support. 

Networking Groups

CAN is a leadership group for adults living with or connected to epilepsy who support each other and the community through planning and implementing projects in their local community such as

  • Social events
  • Raising awareness about epilepsy
  • Providing support by bringing programs and services directly to their neighborhoods, workplaces, and places of worship
  • Planning service activities
  • Advocacy
  • Promoting fundraising opportunities

Boulder | Adults Living with Epilepsy

Denver | Adult Surgery Group

Open to adults who are considering or have gone through surgery for epilepsy.

Durango

Two groups offered: Adults and Youth Living with Challenging Health Conditions, Parents of Youth Living with Epilepsy.
