Prefered Professional Network (PPN) & Mental Health
Living with seizures comes with a unique set of challenges. The unpredictability of seizures, associated stigma, restrictions, loss, isolation, sleep disruption, and medication side effects can significantly impact mental health. Recognizing this complexity, we have developed a network of professionals who are specially trained to support individuals with epilepsy and non-epileptic seizures and improve their mental well-being. We also recognize that family members of those with seizures also have a unique situation as well and may need support. Our PPN isn’t just for those feeling like they are in need of help with their mental health, it can also be beneficial to help learn how manage stress, changes in family dynamics with a new diagnosis, or just processing what is going on.
Our Preferred Provider Network (PPN) consists of therapists who have undergone training on seizures and their impact on mental health. These professionals understand the multifaceted challenges you face and are equipped to offer the support you need. As an added benefit, we offer reimbursement of half, up to $30/session, for 8 sessions, for those that have seen a therapist that is a part of the network, please reach out to our Support Services and Engagement Manager, Larissa, at larissa@epilepsycoloradowyoming.org or 303-502-5979 to learn more about how to receive reimbursement.
